TOKYO: Tokyo's benchmark stock index closed at a fresh one-year high on Friday, posting its longest winning streak since mid-2015 as a slumping yen boosted exporters.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index added 0.66 percent, or 127.36 points, to end the day at 19,401.15, logging its longest stretch of gains since the end of May last year.
The broader Topix index of all first-section shares was up 0.52 percent, or 7.95 points, to finish at 1,550.67.
