After ban on Pakistani actors in Bollywood, makers of 'Raees' have now decided to cut-down Mahira Khan's role in the movie. Reportedly, Mahira Khan's Bollywood debut in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Raees' just got cut short quite drastically.
Mumbai Mirror has reported that she will not be coming back to India to shoot the second song. Also, a romantic scene between SRK and Mahira has also reportedly been chopped off.
A source also quoted saying, "While Mahira plays SRK's love interest, and it is not a romantic film. The film revolves around the conflict between Shah Rukh who plays a bootlegger and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who plays a cop. So, it wasn't difficult to trim her role," Indian media reported.
Recently, while addressing many hate comments, Mahira Khan in a video also responded to a tweet taking a jibe at her (no) presence in SRK's Raees teaser. In response to a tweet that read as, "Raees k trailer main to Mahira Khan ko lift hi nai krayi gayi (Nobody gave enough importance to Mahira Khan in Raees teaser)," the actress just laughed it off.
The movie which also stars Shah Rukh Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead roles will hit theatres on January 26, 2017.
