imageSYDNEY: Jumpei Kusukami has signed with Australian A-League giants Western Sydney Wanderers, the club said on Monday.

The Japanese attacking midfielder, 28, has made over 100 appearances in the J-League and spent the last three seasons with Cerezo Osaka.

His signing comes as the Wanderers prepare for their third campaign in the AFC Champions League.

"It's my honour to join the Western Sydney Wanderers, one of the best clubs in Asian football," Kusukami said.

"It's a huge opportunity for me, so I would like to give my best to the Wanderers."

Kusukami follows his playing idol Shinji Ono, who had a highly successful stint with the Wanderers from 2012 to 2014.
