Shipping activity at Port Qasim
KARACHI: No ship arrived at Port on Saturday Oct. 1, 2011.Berth occupancy was maintained at 57 percent at the Port on Sunday where a total of eight ships namely M.V Alexi-I, M.V Vinaline Sky, M.V Hiba Al Nour M.V Orient-III, M.T Lahore, M.V Kind Seas, M.V Kaya Poineer, M.T Enrico Evoli are currently occupying berths to load / offload cement, containers, furnace oil, iron ore.corn, phos acid and steel coils during last 24 hours.
Cargo handling operations were carried out smoothly at the Port where a cargo volume of 32292 tonnes, comprising 24039 tonnes import and 8253 tonnes exports were handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
M.V Orient-III sailed on Saturday afternoon M.T Enrico Evoli M.T Lahore sailed on Sunday morning.
M.V Maersk Wyoming, M.V Izumo, M.V Al Essa arrived at QICT, M.T Bunga Kantan Tiga at LCT, M.T Malpensa at EVTL and MT Chrisopigi Lady at FOTCO on Sunday October 2, 2011.
