Shipping activity at Port Qasim

 KARACHI: Two ships C.V CMA CGM Bellini and M.T Baltic carrying containers and furnace oil were arranged berthing at Qasim International Container Terminal and FOTCD Oil Terminal respectively on Wednesday, September 14.

Meanwhile three more container ships also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy remained moderate at the Port at 31 percent on Thursday where a total of four ships namely C.V CMA CGM Bellini, M.V Mohammad Prince, M.V Sapphire-II and M.T Baltic are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.

Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood 41,327 tonnes comprising 28,657 tonnes imports and 12,670 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1,277 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port.

Two ships C.V CMA CGM Bellini and M.V Sapphire-II sailed out to sea on Thursday morning.

Five ships C.V Glory, C.V Nexo Maersk, C.V APL Chile, C.V Maersk Davenport and M.T Gas Honor carrying containers and LPG are expected to take berth at Container Terminal and Engro Terminal respectively on Thursday, September 15.
