Published Updated

imageABIDJAN: - Cocoa arrivals at ports in top grower Ivory Coast had reached 1,712,700 tonnes by Aug. 31 since the start of the season on Oct. 1, according to data seen by Reuters on Wednesday, up from 1,686,350 tonnes in the same period of the previous season.

The figure from the marketing board the Coffee and Cocoa Council (CCC) is slightly higher than the 1,710,000 tonnes of beans exporters estimated had been delivered to the ports of Abidjan and San Pedro by Aug. 30.

According to CCC data, cocoa arrivals reached 55,470 tonnes from Aug. 1-31 compared to 63,441 tonnes in August 2014.
