LAHORE: All CNG filling stations of five regions of Punjab were closed on Monday for two days to observe weekly holidays announced by Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) for load management.
According to Awais Bajwa, a spokesman of SNGPL, the gas supply to CNG stations of Lahore, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Multan and Sahiwal region would be restored at 6am on Wednesday.
On the other hand, two-day CNG closure hit thousands of commuters hard in the provincial capital and caused disappearance of transport on many routes.
Minivans and rickshaws took advantage of CNG closure and overcharged.
