PTDC offers 35pc discount during month of Ramadan

Published Updated

imageISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tourism Development Cooperation (PTDC) offers up to 50 percent discount on accommodation in PTDC motels and hotels during the holy month of Ramadan.

PTDC offers can be enjoyed at its Ayubia, Naran, Balakot, Saidu Sharif, Kalam, Miandam, Chitral, Booni, Bamburet (Kalash Valley), Mastuj, Phandar, Gupis, Gilgit, Hunza, Sost (Pak-China border), Rama Lake, Skardu, Khaplu and Besham resorts.

Sehri and Iftar dinner would be available at all the resorts during the holy Month. It is a wonderful opportunity for tourists to spend their holy month of Ramadan at cool places on affordable rates.

Managing Director PTDC Ch. Khabir Ahmed Khan has issued instructions on the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and the Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada to provide all facilities to tourists at affordable rates while making all out efforts to promote tourism across the country, luring domestic and foreign tourists.

With an objective to introduce Pakistani culture and tourist attractions on international level and since 1970, PTDC has been working hard to promote beautiful picnic spots situated in far-flung areas of Pakistan, especially where the private sector is reluctant to invest.

PTDC is currently operating one dozen Tourist Information Centres all over the country to provide information, travel guide, brochures and maps to tourists for planning their holidays, he added.

Seth Matiullah, President, Kaghan Valley Hotels Association talking to APP said that the association had decided to offer 25 percent discount food items.

"It had been decided that 75 percent discount would be available on accommodation while 25 percent discount would be available on food items," Seth said.

Matiullah said that the visiting guests would also be offered facilities to cook their desired meal at the hotels.
