Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Five ships arrived at Port Qasim on Friday, August 5, two ships carrying containers at QTCT, furnace oil at FOTCO, phosphoric acid at EVTL cement at M-W.

Berth Occupancy was maintained at 85 percent at the Port on Friday where a total of twelve ships namely M.V Alexi-I, M.V Al.Aska-II, M.V. Hai Yu, M.V Rhl lducia, M.V Glory, M.T Rio Eider, M.V Msc Jade, M.V Pago, M.T AI-Salam-II, M.T Th Symphony, M.T Green Park, M.T Ginga Bobcat, M.V New Sun are currently occupying berths to load/offload cement, corn, containers, diesel oil, furnace oil, phos-acid, palm oil and fertilizer during last 24 hours.

Cargo handling operations were carried out smoothly at the Port where a cargo volume 127665 tonnes comprising 75908 tonne imports and 51757 tones exports containers 4707 (TUES) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

M.V Rhl Fiducia, M.T Ginga Bobcat, M.V Glory, M.T AI-Salam- II sailed on Friday evening.

M.V Msc Magali, MV New Dehli Express at QICT, are expected to take berth on Saturday, August 6.
