KARACHI: Two ships C.V CMA CGM florida and C.V Hansa America carrying containers were berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal berth # 6 and 8 respectively at Port Qasim on Thursday, 15th January-2015.
Meanwhile five more ships scheduled to load/offload Containers, Tug Boat, Cement and Crude oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy remained at the Port at 50% on Thursday, where seven ships namely, C.V CMA CGM Florida, C.V Hansa America, C.V Maersk Hardford, M.V Hyderabad, M.V Sino-6, M.T FSL London and M.T Eupen were occupied PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Coal, Fertilizer, Palm oil and LPG respectively during last 24 hours. Cargo volume during last 24 hours handled at 84,763 tonnes, comprises 50,240 tonnes imports and 34,523 tonnes exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 3,296 Containers (TEUs) (1,817 exports TEUs) were handled at the Port. Departures:
Container Vessel 'CMA CGM Florida' sailed out to sea on Friday morning while bulk cargo carrier 'Hyderabad' is expected to sail on same day afternoon and Container ship 'Hansa America' is expected at night hours. Arrival Schedule:
A total of six ships, C.V Maule, C.V Julie Delmas, M.V Pioneer, M.V Ikan Prang, M.T CPO Australia and M.T Mid Falcon carrying containers, Cement, Tug Boat, Crude oil and Chemicals are expected to take berths at QICT, MW, FOTCO and EVTL respectively on Friday, 16th January, while container ship 'MSC Athos' is due to arrive at Port Qasim on Saturday, 17th January and two more container ships 'k Phoenix' and 'Xpress Kailash' are due to arrive on Sunday, 18th Janyary-2015.
