Cut in transport fares notified

QUETTA: Commissioner Quetta division has issued notification of cut in transport fares by Rs 5 following the orders of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to slash petroleum prices.

Officials told APP, here on Thursday that Commissioner Office Quetta has notified there would be cut in transport fares by Rs 5."All local buses will decrease their fares by Rs 5.Now, local buses will charge Rs 10 fare from passengers instead of Rs 15 which plying within Quetta," they said.

The Commissioner also warned that stern action would be taken against transporters who would not obey and implement the official orders in this regard. "The action may be including termination of route permit," he said.
