WELLINGTON: The New Zealand dollar bounded towards a one-week high against the US dollar, which was hit by broad based selling on Thursday.
The kiwi hit a high of $0.7928 from an opening level of $0.7785, before settling around $0.7900.
There was no specific news driving the kiwi, but it was also showing a 1 percent rise against the yen, and solid gains against sterling and the euro.
The trade weighted New Zealand dollar basket was 0.8 percent higher
