ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal on Saturday urged Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf chief to provide relief to the people hit by heavy rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa areas.
He said, "This is time to help internally displaced persons (IDPs), and rain affected people," he stated while talking to Pakistan Television channel.
He said that Chief Minister Pervez Khattak alongwith cabinet members had arrived in the federal capital and left the IDPs and rain-stricken people in lurch.
Ahsan Iqbal said that people had given mandate to Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI), to run the government in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KPK), and resolve the problem of the masses.
He said, "It is very unfortunate that CM KPK with all official protocol are sitting in the federal capital for participating in PTI march."
He demanded of PTI to resign from KPK for not providing relief to the affected people.
Federal Minister said that the people will reject PTI in the next general elections for not delivering and developing KPK areas.
To a question he said that Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry member national assembly and Ashraf Gujjar of PML-N had provided food packs to the people participating in PTI long march.
