Coal-based power project to be set up in Jhang

imageISLAMABAD: A coal based power project having the capacity to generate 660 Megawatt electricity will be established in Jhang.

The project will be sponsored by a consortium comprising Nihsat Chunian Limited, DG Khan Cement Company Limited and Adamjee Insurance Company Limited. Radio Pakistan reported.

A spokesman for the Punjab Power Development Board said that the provincial Energy Department would help in land acquisition for the power plant.
