HANOI: Vietnam's benchmark VN Index edged up 0.11 percent at Wednesday's break, on track for a sixth straight gain, as investors bet good corporate results in several firms, an analyst said.
"Trading has slowed, but money is still within the market as investors took profit from large-caps that gained strongly last week to bet on smaller shares," Hoang added.
Hanoi-based lender BIDV, Vietnam's second-largest bank by assets, led the gainers with a 1.35 percent advance, followed by steel producer Hoa Phat Group that rose 1.82 percent.
