imageISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Thursday issued notice to Syed Khursheed Shah, Opposition Leader National Assembly regarding alleged rigging during general elections May 2013, in the constituency of NA-199 Sukkar-II.

A two-judge bench headed by Justice Jawwad S Khawaja initiated the hearing of the case filed by Inayatullah leader of Pakistan Muslim League (F) a runner up candidate against Shah and made allegations of massive rigging in the constituency.

During the course of proceedings, counsel for the petitioner pleaded his case and sought interim relief from the court on which the apex court issued the notice to the Shah and fixed the matter for hearing May 8, while adjourning the case till then.

Inayatullah came to the Supreme Court against the election tribunal's order which rejected the allegations of the applicant.
