MULTAN: The police arrested 24 criminals including 10 proclaimed offenders (POs) during a crackdown across the district.
According to police their teams conducted separate raids at various locations and arrested 10 proclaimed offenders including Akhtar Hussain, Qaisar Mehmood, Sajjad Ahmed, Abdul Ghafoor, Fida Hussain, Kosar Mai, Fozia Mai, Akram, Bashir Ahmed and Attaullah.
The accused were arrested by Mumtazabad, Bahauddin Zakariya, New Multan, Basti Malook, City Jalalpur and Makhdoom Rasheed police respectively.
Police teams also apprehended nine drug peddlers, an illegal weapons holder and seized eight litres of liquor,1.22 kg Hashish, a pistol and 10 bullets from their possession.
Police said that four gamblers were also caught with stake money of Rs10500.
Separate cases were registered against the accused.
