imageISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Education, Training and Standards in Higher Education Muhammad Baligh-Ur-Rehman carried out surprise visit of Basic Education Community School (BECS), Trimna village, Chattar and Muslim Colony Kachi Abadi, Islamabad.

The minister expressed his satisfaction on running of non-formal schools in backward areas. He asked questions from the students and teachers to assess the educational abilities of the students, said a press release.

He also met the community members and sought their feedback on the performance of these schools.

Baligh-Ur-Rehman appreciated the commitment and hard work put in by the teachers and staff of BECS, despite the difficult conditions.

He assured the students and teachers of BECS of his support and reiterated that the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) government is fully committed to the cause of education and will leave no stone unturn to provide education particularly to the backward areas to ensure social equity.

He directed the ministry officials and Director General BECS to urgently resolve the issues of release of funds and honorarium for teachers from concerned authorities.

He expressed the opinion that BECS non-formal schools play a vital role in ensuring that no child remains out of school and noted that BECS has shown marked improvement.

He expressed the hope that they will further improve their quality and outreach in close co-ordination with the community.
