NEW YORK: The euro extended losses against the US dollar on Wednesday, hitting a session low, on Wednesday after US data showed the trade deficit widened more than expected in March.
The euro fell to a session low of $1.4325 on EBS trading platform. It was last at $1.4343.
The US deficit rose to $48.2 billion, the widest since June 2010, from a slightly downwardly revised $45.4 billion in February.
