KARACHI: Five ships carrying containers, edible oil, diesel oil and chemicals were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal, multi Purpose Terminal, FOTCO Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal on Sunday, 15th September.
Meanwhile three more ships carrying containers, furnace oil and diesel oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 55% at the Port on Monday where total six ships namely Maersk Mamphis, Miramis, Zhong Da You, Theofy Laktos, Liberty N and Al Salam II are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, edible oil, rape seed, chemicals and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 42636 tonnes comprising 40830 tonnes imports and 1806 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 467 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
