Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Two ships carrying diesel oil and edible oil were berthed at FOTCO Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Wednesday.

Meanwhile two more ships carrying containers also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 65% at the Port on Thursday where a seven ships namely CGM Verdi, Orient Singapore, Becom-SW, Elini D, Bunga Aster, Donga Peneus and M.T Al Soor II are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, urea, edible oil and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 73151 tonnes comprising 64438 tonnes imports and 8713 tonnes exports was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
