KARACHI: Five ships carrying containers, cement, edible oil and furnace oil were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal Liquid Cargo Terminal and FOTCO Terminal respectively on Monday, 29th July.
Meanwhile three more ships carrying containers and edible oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 75% at the Port on Tuesday where a total eight ships namely Maersk Columbus, Nysted Maersk, Orient Singapore, Beacon-SW, Elini D, Chem Road Wing, Bungamelat and M.T Quetta are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, urea, chemical, edible oil and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 65595 tonnes comprising 51567 tonnes imports and 14028 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1655 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
