KARACHI: Three ships carrying containers, chemicals and edible oil were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal on Monday.
Meanwhile four more ships carrying containers, furnace oil and chemical also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 65 percent at the Port on Tuesday where a total seven ships namely Nysted Maersk, M.V Faith, M.T Sofia, Atlantic Giory, M.T Outrivaling, Lahore and Chem Road Lily are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, chemical, iron ore, furnace oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 97335 tonnes comprising 84546 tonnes imports and 12789 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1428 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
