Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: One ship carrying containers was berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal on Sunday, 7th July. Meanwhile four more ships carrying containers, cement, and edible oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 45pc at the Port on Monday where a total five ships Maersk Denver, M.V Faith, Pearl's of Jebel Ali, M.T Quetta and Golden Ambrosia are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, iron ore, furnace oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 69059 tonnes comprising 56098 tonnes imports and 2961 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 679 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
