KARACHI: Three ships carrying containers, gen. cargo and chemical were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal on Monday, 1st July.
Meanwhile four more ships carrying containers, furnace oil and chemical also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 85% at the port on Tuesday where a total nine ships namely Nysted Maersk, Zea Hai, Vindo Nissa, Bunga Melatidua, Alitis, Pearl Jabel Ali, Hany, Atlantic Glory and M.T Akaki are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, cement, edible oil, soya been, iron ore, gen. cargo, chemical and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 100433 tonnes comprising 77286 tonnes imports and 23147 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1761 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
