KARACHI: Two ships carrying containers and furnace oil were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal and FOTCO Terminal on Sunday, port sources said here Monday.
Three more ships carrying containers and chemical also arrived at the outor anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 55% at the Port on Monday where a total six ships namely Maersk Georgia, Inlaco Accord, Diamkond Sea, Sofia, Norgas Challenger and M.T Karachi are currently occupying berths to load/ offload containers, wheat, rice, cement, chemical and furnace oil respectively.
A cargo volume of 31969 tonnes comprising 14953 tonnes imports and 17016 tonnes exports inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 801 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during the last 24 hours.
