KARACHI: Two ships arrived at the Port to load/ offload containers at QICT and load cement at MW No. 1 on Saturday, port sources said here on Sunday.
Berth occupancy was maintained at 50% at the Port on Saturday where a total of seven ships namely M.V KPS-I Alican BEY-Powership, M.V Mycenae, M.V Lantau Arrow, M.T Bunga Angsana, M.T AL Soo-II, M.V Denny Z, M.V Mercy Wisdom are currently occupying berths to load/ offload containers, cement, rice, wheat, palm oil, diesel oil.
Cargo handling and operations were carried out smoothly at the Port where a cargo volume 44836 tonnes comprising 31591 tonnes import, 13245 tonnes export, (445) TUES was handled during the last 24 hours.
M.T Bunga Angsana sailed on Saturday afternoon, M.V Lantau Arrow sailed on Sunday morning.
M.T Argent EYE Bright, at EVTL, M.V Maersk Carolina at QICT arrive on Sunday as per arrival schedule.
