Specialized courses for females in employable trades
LAHORE: National Institute of Design and Analysis (NIDA), has been authorized to conduct specialized vocational courses for females in employable trades of Fashion and Textile Design, Apparel Making and Domestic Tailoring.
These courses include Multimedia Graphics, Architecture Design, Basic Auto CAD and Basic Computer Skills, a spokesperson of TUSDEC said here on Saturday.
NIDA is a subsidiary of Technology Upgradation and Skill Development Company (TUSDEC) has been registered with Trade Testing Board (TTB) for the CAD/CAM enabled vocational courses.
The spokesperson further said that the courses are open for enrolment where each course is signified with an extensive and operable curricula particularly contrived by NIDA experts contemplating the market demand for the trades.
All the courses will be imparted at the state-of-the art lab facilities of NIDA Centre.
After the successful completion of courses the candidates will be certified by TTB (Trade Testing Body). NIDA being a recognized institution in technical and vocational trainings has collaborated with TTB to optimize its efforts for quality education in the spokesperson added.
NIDA centre is particularly focusing to launch female vocational training courses so that an adept and proficient female manpower could be cultivated.
The centre has launched digitally equipped trainings in various conventional trades like jewellery design and lawn printing enabling many women to earn out a decent living.
The courses offered by NIDA under TTB certification will enable the candidates to seek better job prospects considering the aggregated market credence of TTB and NIDA in advanced technical education.
