KARACHI: Three ships namely C.V Saigon Express, M.V Beautiful Rena and M.T AL-Soor-II scheduled to load/offload containers, rice and diesel oil were berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal Grain & Fertilizer Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Thursday.
Meanwhile, another chemicals carrier M.T Stolt Virtue also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was managed at the Port at forty three percent on Thursday where seven ships namely C.V Saigon Express, C.V MSC Clementina, M.V Beautiful Rena, M.V Amira Nadia, M.V Dogan Bey, M.T Chemroute Sky and M.T AL-Soor-II are currently occupying at berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice, wheat, palm oil and diesel oil during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 67,440 tonnes, comprises 44,808 tonnes imports and 22,632 tonnes exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 2,182 containers (1,266 imports and 916 exports TEUs) were handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
Two ships C.V Saigon Express and M.T Chemroute Sky sailed out to sea on Friday, morning while two more ships C.V MSC Clementina and M.V Dogan Bey are expected to sail on same day afternoon.
Four ships C.V City of Beijing, M.T Fenghai-II, M.T Stolt Virtue and M.T Gas Husky carrying containers, palm oil, phosphoric acid and LPG are expected to take berths at QICT, LCT, EVTL and SSGC respectively on Friday.
