TOKYO: Japan's Ministry of Agriculture is looking to buy a total of 32,381 tonnes of food wheat from Canada through a regular tender closing on Thursday, a ministry official said.
The wheat is for loading from May 1 through May 31, the official said.
Japan buys about 5 million tonnes of foreign wheat a year for milling use, which accounts for about 90 percent of domestic consumption.
