According to American media reports Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman has revealed he has been treated for skin cancer after his wife insisted him to see a doctor for a suspicious mark on his nose.
"Deb said to get the mark on my nose checked. Boy, was she right!" Jackman wrote in the post.
On Thursday, the 45-year-old star posted an image of his face on Instagram with a bandage on his nose.
The ‘Prisoners’ star star said he had been diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma (BCC).
BCC is most common type of cancer that appears as a red or pale lump on a skin exposed to sun. However, in 80 percent of all cases, this cancer is found on head and neck.
Jackman urged his fans to get a check up if they face similar concerns.
'Please don’t be foolish like me. Get yourself checked!' he added.
