SINGAPORE: US crude rose more than a dollar to a four-month high above $99 a barrel on Friday, on hopes for stronger global oil demand after the US Federal Reserve launched an aggressive programme to stimulate the economy.
NYMEX crude for October rose to an intraday high of $99.35, up $1.04 and the highest since early May.
