PESHAWAR: Tribal elders from South Waziristan Agency have expressed grave concern over the resumption of Nato supply to US-alliance troops in Afghanistan, termed that the decision reflected the government pro-US policies.

Speaking at a news conference here on Monday at Press Club, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Senior leader from South Waziristan Agency, Tariq Dawar along with dozen of tribal elders, said that rulers silence about the intensifying of CIA-secret drone attacks at tribal region and unconditional restoration of supply routes, is daring western powers to enhance their influence in this part of the region.

Accompanied by PTI leader from Khyber agency, Iqbal Afridi, he said that the a huge losses of lives and property had made by the excessive US-drone attacks at tribal areas, but the government was regardless about the miseries of the innocent tribesmen.

Tariq Dawar said that the US drone planes were regularly hovered around the clock at South Waziristan agency, which created scare situation and mentality disturbing the life of tribal people. He claimed drone attacks against the sovereignty and integrity of the country, demanding for their immediate stoppage.

He informed that PTI will hold a huge mass rally against the drone attacks, price hike, corruption, anti-judiciary steps, and unemployment in the provincial capital Peshawar. The rally will be addressed by PTI chief Imran Khan, he added.

Dawar asked the tribal people to fully participate in this rally to prove that they are against the government pro-US policies. He claimed his party as sole political force to pull the country out of present critical situation.
