Weight and measurement survey launched

LAHORE: The Punjab Labour Department has launched a weight and measurement survey of shops, industrial and trade institutions, petrol pumps and CNG stations.

The purpose of the survey is to collect data of institutions where instruments of weight and measurement are being used.

This was stated by Punjab Labour Minister, Haji Ehsaan- ul-Din Qureshi while talking to various delegations of labourers.

He added that Punjab was ahead of other provinces in efforts to wipe out child labour with the cooperation of ILO, adding that child labour in district had been eliminated and the labour department launched a new programme in various districts for addressing the problem.
