Mangla Dam water level reaches dead level

MIRPUR: Mangla dam reservoir water level on Sunday reached to dead level of 1040 feet.

Wapda sources told APP that inflow of water in Mangla dam reservoir on Sunday was 15800 cusecs against the 16600 cusecs discharge of water from the dam.

There has also been a considerable decline in per day power generation from Mangla dam following the receding of water level in the reservoir.

Following the persistent decline in the inflow of water in Mangla dam, the discharge of additional water from the reservoir was becoming difficult, the sources hinted.
