PM directs Punjab govt to shift Nawaz Sharif to his desired hospital

Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed the Punjab government to shift incarcerated Nawaz Sharif to the hospital of his choice, said Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Thursday.

The information minister took to his Twitter handle to announce that PM Khan has directed the Punjab government to give all the necessary services required for the treatment of Sharif. In his tweet Chaudhry further said that the premier had also issued orders that Sharif be shifted to a hospital which the Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz leader desires and also appoint the doctor of his choice.

Sharif who is serving his jail term at Kot Lakhpat Jail is said to be in a 'life-threatening' condition according to his family members and party leaders. According to reports, Sharif has refused medical treatment in the country and has desired to be moved abroad.
