Punjab Planning & Development Department hosted a farewell session in honor of outgoing Minister for P&D Department Malik Nadeem Kamran here at P&D Complex, Lahore.
Former Minister P&D Malik Nadeem Kamran, Chairman P&D Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan, Iftikhar Ali Sahoo Secretary P&D, Dr. Nasir Javed Chief Executive Officer Urban Unit, Members P&D Board Dr. Shabana Haider, Sadaqat Hussain, Mukhtar Ahmad Naoul, Khalid Sultan, Agha Waqar Javed, Mehmood-ul-Hassan, Dr. Abid Bodla, Joint Chief Economist Dr. Amanullah, Senior Chief Urban Development Salman Iftikhar Shami, Senior Chief Coordination Javed Latif, Chief Coordination Rasheed Farooqui, Additional Secretary P&D Dr. Shahid Adil, Deputy Secretary P&D Shahid Ismail Mirza, Development Sector Chiefs P&D, Assistant Chiefs, Planning Officers & administration wing of P&D Department attended the session.
Addressing the farewell session, Former Minister P&D Malik Nadeem Kamran, firstly thanking the P&D for arranging such event, said that I felt pleasure to become a part of such a great unforgettable ceremony. Being a Minister, "I focused on spade work of the development in my city the Sahiwal where speedily development work has been completed within a time period. The P&D Department has always honored me and provided support as needed. I served as a Minister in different departments for a last ten years. The P&D Department portfolio was a wonderful as I enjoyed it a lot. Now the P&D Department working has been declared in top one by the Chief Minister Punjab. The P&D Department has achieved excellent standard. Talented Human Resource in P&D was really remarkable. I hoped that P&D Department would move forward swiftly in future.
Chairman P&D Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan, in his welcome address, paid a great tribute to the Ex-Minister P&D for delivering his services to guide and support. The responsibility of P&D Department is entirely different from other Administrative Department of Punjab. Under the kind supervision of the Minister, the P&D Department promoted the development sectors like Health Sector, Education Sector, IT Sector, Mines & Minerals Sectors and Energy Sector also.
At the occasion, Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo said that the P&D Department is remained the first and important portfolio of the Punjab Government.
