Former IG Police Nasir Durrani who was nominated by PTI for the post of Punjab caretaker chief minister has refused to candidature for caretaker chief minister Punjab, Aaj News reported Thursday.
After withdrawing earlier proposed Nasir Mehmood Khosa's name despite consensus with the government, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) recommended the names of Dr Hassan Askari and Nasir Durrani for the position of caretaker chief minister Punjab but Durrani regretted because of 'poor health.'
Durrani said he had informed both PTI and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz lawmakers of his decision. Durrani had served as the Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
