NAB approves inquiry against owners of Khayaban-i-Amin Housing Society

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Saturday approved inquiry against owners of Khayaban-i-Amin Housing Society and Director General Punjab Workers Welfare Board. According to details, a direct inquiry has been authorized against owners of Khayaban-i-Amin Housing Society after receiving numerous complaints for not handing over possession of homes, flats and plots to claimants despite complete payments. Total amount claimed by the claimants is about Rs221.65 million.
In second Inquiry, Director (Education) Punjab Workers Welfare Board (PWWB) Dr M Arshad is facing allegation of misuse of authority in the procurement of substandard uniforms for PWWB Schools in the year 2012-13. Moreover, the rates approved in tenders are 130 per cent higher than the tender from the previous year 2012-13 which allegedly caused a loss of about Rs100 million to the Board.
