Directorate General Customs Valuation (DGCV) has revised the customs values of Linear Alkyl Benzene Sulphonic Acid (Soft & Hard type) under section 25 (7) of the Customs Act, 1969.
According to details, the customs values of Linear Alkyl Benzene Sulphonic Acid (Soft & Hard type) were earlier determined vide valuation ruling 999 in 2016, which were later revised vide order-in-revision no 283.
The meeting with stakeholders including importers, representatives from Pakistan Chemicals and Dyes Merchants Association (PCDMA) and representatives from field formations was held last month to discuss the prices of the subject goods.
During the meeting, the stakeholders stated that although the value of the subject item has slightly increased in the international market, however, they requested that the values determined vide the existing valuation ruling may be maintained.
Later, the Directorate has conducted market inquiries under sub-section (7) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1969 to determine the customs value of Linear Alkyl Benzene Sulphonic Acid (Soft & Hard type).
