Chief Coordinator, Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufactures and Exporters Association (PRGMEA) Ijaz A Khokhar has said that PRGMEA and HOGIAF (Association of Young Entrepreneurs in Netherlands) will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) soon. The proposed MoU will be supportive in getting partners in Netherlands and Pakistan, help in exchange of ideas and facilitate business development and strengthening business cooperation between Pakistan and Netherlands, he said.
Talking to Business Recorder on Friday he said the MoU will pursue the goal of promoting and expanding commutation and cooperation between Pakistan and Netherlands textile and apparel companies in a bid to realize common development of industries within ambit of law in both the countries. Both the sides would make adequate efforts for creating favourable conditions for bilateral trade and investment, he said.
Ijaz further told that both sides will take steps to support the development and implementation of cooperation between Pakistan and the Netherlands textile and apparel companies. He said both the countries he said will exchange information concerning policies, laws and regulations on trade and investment as well as the latest trends and updates on textile and apparel production, trade and investment.
Ijaz said that both the countries will extend within the scope of their means, assistance to the enterprises of Netherlands for searching business partners in Pakistan in the field of all type of woven and knitted garments, martial arts uniform, sportswear, sports goods, all type of gloves, home textile, surgical instruments, grey cloth and leather garments.
PRGMEA will offer its services to search business partners in Pakistan without any obligation to HOGIAF members while HOGIAF will also provide assistance to search product of interests to Pakistani entrepreneurs, he said. Ijaz lauded the role of Pakistani Ambassador to Netherlands Shujjat Ali Rathore in accommodating the Pakistani delegation and hosting reception in honour of the president International Apparel Federation and PRGMEA delegation.
