On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,338. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 3.747 billion and the number of lots traded was 6,963.
Major business was contributed by gold PKR 1.358 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 1.044 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 593.715 million, platinum PKR 220.873 million, DJ PKR 219.224 million, silver PKR 131.125 million, natural gas PKR 115.053 million, NSDQ 100 PKR 32.562 million, copper PKR 14.563 million, SP500 PKR 13.116 million and Brent crude oil PKR 4.990 million. In agricultural commodities 19 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 8.546 million and 9,320 lots of red chili amounting to PKR 1.649 million were traded.
