This is apropos a Business Recorder news item "PML-N-led govt eradicated terrorism from country: PM" carried by the newspaper yesterday. According to it, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that terrorism has been completely eradicated from the country. "Today, terrorism has been eradicated from Pakistan and PML-N has delivered its promises. As a result of this fight, we have defeated terrorism and today, our schools and mosques our safe," he was quoted as saying.
There is no doubt about the fact that the present law and order situation is much better than what it was before PML-N came to power in 2013 but it still requires a lot of efforts for elimination of terrorism from the country. While the armed forces of the country seem to have done their job in this regard, the political leadership, unfortunately, has been found complacent insofar as the implementation of the entire National Action Plan is concerned. The situation brooks no complacency.
