PARIS: European stock markets closed very narrowly mixed on Tuesday, with London's FTSE 100 index of leading shares virtually unchanged at 5,890.26 points.
In Paris, the CAC-40 index gained 0.18 percent at 3,411.54 points but in Frankfurt the DAX 30 slipped 0.16 percent to 6,754.20 points.
