Chavanni, the personal anthology of seasoned educationist and motivational speaker Parveen Shah, was launched at Karachi Gymkhana, here on Sunday evening. "Penned over a quarter of a century in English and Urdu, these are timeless stories bound with the wisdom of a traveler's soul," the author said at the book launching ceremony where her friends, colleagues, relatives and others were seen busy buying her book, taking snaps and her autograph.
Shah said she would remain eternally grateful to her life that is the great teacher who taught her the art of loving, living and learning.
"Some stories are based on real life experiences of her own and of those around her; some stories are steeped in observation and study, while a few are entirely fictitious," she said, adding that Chavanni was her own story and Mera Bachpan in it is was about her beautiful childhood," she said.
