K-Electric and Javedan Corporation Limited (JCL) have entered into an agreement for the provision of 70MW power supply to Naya Nazimabad, a project of JCL. The agreement was signed by Amer Zia, Head of Distribution Operations, K-Electric and Abdus Samad Habib, CEO, JCL during a ceremony held recently at KE House.
On the occasion Amer Zia said, "We have further streamlined the process to acquire new connections for our commercial, residential and industrial consumers as KE focus on continuous process improvement. Customer convenience is at the heart of our operations and we will continue our focus on stronger consumer relationships in the future as well."
Abdus Samad Habib, CEO Javedan Corporation thanked KE for facilitation of uninterrupted power supply in a timely and effective manner and said, "This development brings us closer to our goal of providing our residents a healthy and active lifestyle at Naya Nazimabad."
Aimed at providing one-window operations for provision of new electricity connections, K-Electric has recently established new connection front desks at all of its 29 Integrated Business Centers (IBC) across the city. Moreover, the utility is also mobilizing its mobile vans at multiple locations in Karachi on a regular basis to facilitate consumers on their doorstep under its IBC on Wheels initiative. Apart from lodging a request for a new connection, consumers can now also approach their respective IBC for load extension, temporary connection, reinforcement, change of meter position and meter tapping.-PR
