As many as 1,000 new buses would be piled in Karachi under the modern transport system. This was decided by the Sindh Transport Minister, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah. He was presiding over a review meeting with regard to modern transport system in Karachi, here on Friday. The Minister was of the view that induction of 1,000 new buses in the metropolis would help ease the public transport problem in the metropolis. These buses would be introduced in the city within couple of month's time, he added.
It was pointed out at the meeting that the government is active and the Chief Minister as well as Syed Nasir Hussain Shah was also playing their role. Nasir Hussain Shah said that in the new transport system, preference would be accorded to the old transporters.
