Centre for Excellence in Islamic Finance (CEIF-IBA) has announced to organise a panel discussion on "Exploring Islamic Finance Development and Opportunities in China" today (Thursday) at IBA City Campus. Ahmed Ali Siddiqui founding Director CEIF at Institute of Business Administration informed that the session will focus on highlighting Islamic Finance potential and challenges faced by the industry in China. Furthermore, the experts will deliberate on how Pakistan can capitalise on Islamic finance opportunity in China and other projects.
He said that 2 Chinese experts on Islamic Finance, Sulaim Liu, senior partner Al-Sadiq consulting and Abdullah Han, Senior Al-Sadiq Consulting will talk on the Exploring Islamic Finance Development and Opportunities in China. Another round table session on "Islamic Finance Opportunities CPEC and Beyond" will be held on December 16, 2016 at IBA City Campus to explore investment opportunities in the CPEC, he informed.
The round table discussion is being conducted talking into consideration China's increasing participation in public and private sectors in Pakistan. He told that a significant investment of $45 billion planned under CPEC offers attractive business opportunities to all Islamic Financial Institutions. The Islamic Finance experts from China will brief the participation on the Islamic finance landscape in China. Furthermore, they will deliberate on Islamic Finance opportunities in CPEC and other planned projects with Chinese participation, Ahmed added.
