Olympia and Subway registered victories in the Magic River Polo Cup 2016 Pool-B matches played here at the Lahore Polo Club (LPC) ground on Wednesday. In the first match of the day, Olympia played well against Rijas and outclassed them by 7-2. The superb stick work and horse handling by Ahmed Zubair Butt was highlight of the day, as he played very skilfully and converted fantastic four goals in Olympia's triumph. Ahmed Nawaz Tiwana also contributed two important goals in the winners' total tally. From the losing side, Azam Hayat Noon and Usman Malik hit one goal apiece.
In the second match, there was a thrilling contest between Subway and Barki Estate and the ultimate winners in the end were Subway who recorded 5-4 victory against their opponents. Both the teams displayed quality polo and kept on fighting till the last moment. The score was level at 4-4 in the fourth and last chukker and it was everyone's game but Hassan Abbas' splendid goal snatched the victory from the jaws of Barki Estate.
From Subway, Hassan Abbas was top scorer who hammered fabulous four goals while Agha Hashim contributed one. From the losing side, Shah Qubilai Alam though played very well and thwarted tremendous three goals and Irfan Sheikh hit one yet they couldn't save their team from facing defeat.
