MIRPUR (AJK): The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has given approval of tariff of Jhagran Power Project.

According to an official statement issued on Monday, NEPRA on the motivation of Prime Minister AJK Raja Farooq Haider Khan, gave this approval after the State government’s efforts of 18 years.

This warrants annual income of 4 million rupees to the AJK government.

It may be added that due to the reported non-serious attitude, no agreement was arrived at on this project from 2011 to 2018.

However the present government took up the matter with NEPRA who accorded formal approval of the tariff after formal agreement over the project, the statement added.
